Rachel Bailit is an actress and international acting teacher. She is a longtime faculty member at The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in West Hollywood. In 2025, Rachel taught a masterclass at the Shanghai Theatre Academy. Prior to this, she taught a masterclass with David Lee Strasberg in Mallorca, Spain. Rachel has created and taught classes at The Getty Museum, DreamWorks Animation, Warner Animation Group, and The Animation Guild.

Rachel specializes in working one-on-one with public speakers, politicians, and leaders, creating opportunities for genuine communication, effective change, and growth. Her work is based on Method Acting, incorporating sense memory and emotional memory.

Rachel served as Museum Educational Consultant for Affective and Physical Engagement with Art at The Getty Museum. In addition to training museum docents, Rachel co-created a new tour, “Sense Memory in Art,” at The Getty Center. Rachel interacted with museum visitors from all over the world to explore how memory and the senses engage simultaneously to create deeper, more provocative, and personal relationships with works of art.

“Acting for Animators” is a specialized class Rachel created for industry professionals. Using a technique she developed called “Method Boarding,” Rachel works with storyboard artists and technicians, teaching them how to integrate personal sensory experiences and acting choices into unique storytelling. Most recently, Rachel taught an ongoing workshop at The Gnomon School of Visual Effects, Gaming and Animation and a workshop sponsored by The Animation Guild at The Los Angeles Academy of Figurative Art.

Rachel owned and operated her own casting company, “Compassionate Casting,” for over ten years. She cast television films, music videos, and commercials.

Rachel is a proud union member of SAG-AFTRA and Actors' Equity Association. She is a member of the Los Angeles Military Committee at SAG-AFTRA and specializes in working with military and veteran actors. Most recently, she served as an acting advisor on a national commercial for the U.S. Navy.

Rachel currently teaches in person and online for The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute and at Boston Casting. This fall, she will teach a masterclass in Hamburg, Germany.
